Christian Education

We believe that being a follower of Christ equals learning about Jesus.  We provide many classes and opportunities to foster faith.  At FPC we offer a wide variety of Sunday School classes for all age groups and interests.  Sunday school begins at 9:30am and runs through 10:15am. For more information about specific classes, including location, please click for the current Sunday School brochure

On Wednesday evenings we invite you to join us for dinner starting at 5:30, followed by one of our various Wednesday Night studies at 6:30pm.

At FPC, we know that adults of all ages have a great deal of responsibilities in life and numerous scheduling issues that are pressing and stressful each day.  We also know that whether one has just graduated high school, or they have been in the church all their life, deep down they desire a deeper journey with God through Christ.  So we strive to find ways to offer a variety of ministry opportunities which focus upon spiritual growth, and that are offered on different days of the week and at varying times.   We invite you to take a look at some of the things happening for adults at FPC.

Presbyterian Women (PW) of FPC is a group of women with the purpose of nurturing our faith through prayer and Bible study. Our goal is to support the mission of the church worldwide. PW meet the first Thursday of the month (October - May) at 10:30am followed by lunch. Below is a summary of some of our current activities and missions. We would love to have you join us.

  • A Christian book club meets in the homes of members. A covered dish meal is enjoyed before the book discussion.
  • A prayer chain is maintained for church members who request prayer.
  • Quarterly visitations are made to PW is assisted-living/nursing homes or individuals in shut-in situations.
  • Two mailings are made to college-age church members with contents such as health kits, cookies, cards, etc. These mailings are sent at the time of semester finals.

At FPC, Youth, grades 6-12, are named the Underground. They are a vibrant part of our community and form a strong bond with one another. Our philosophy is the Underground is a movement..rising up against the influences of society to bring our faith and convictions to the public. Underground provides a place where students are able to be themselves. We laugh, cry, question and most importantly care for one another as we learn how our faith intersects with daily life. Throughout the month we offer various opportunities for recreation, mission and study. Whether reading a Biblical passage, playing dodgeball in the gym, completing a service project in the community or another of our favorite activities, Underground seeks to live out our faith and have fun in the process. We are grounded in our Christian beliefs, but don’t believe that being a Christian has to be a drag. We have fun!...and pray that when you join us you feel comfortable and a sense of Christ’s love in our actions.

At FPC, Kids Matter because first and foremost God has given us a responsibility to be an example of Christian faith to them. Whether kids grow up here or move into our community, FPC makes a promise to nurture and love them within the boundaries of our faith journeys and church life.  Since we seek to glorify God in everything we do, our desire is to help kids begin the faith journey with Christ through an introduction to the Christian faith as based in Scripture.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

VBS is a wonderful opportunity to minister and love our church family.  In recent years we have utilized a marketplace model with an intergenerational approach.  Bible stories come to life as we hear from real-life followers of God. Crafts, Music, Games, Snacks, and much more enrich our tribe time.  This most recent summer we invited the community to join us in a local park.

As details for our upcoming (Summer 2017) VBS are finalized, we will add them here.
